FUEL INJECTOR TESTING EQUIPMENT

SYNOPSIS

             During the compression stroke in a four-stroke diesel engine, air is compressed in the engine cylinder.  The pressure of the air is increased and its temperature is also increased.  The diesel fuel is injected at the end of the compression stroke and the fuel is ignited.

            The fuel feed system ensures that the diesel oil is injected into the cylinders at the correct time.  It consists of a diesel tank, a feed pump, a filter, an injection pump, an injector and connecting lines.  Regular testing of the fuel injection system ensures that the diesel pump works effectively.  Testing is carried out by:

(i)                Calibration and

(ii)              Phasing

MULTI FUEL SINGLE CYLINDER ENGINE RUN BY PETROL AND LPG GAS

SYNOPSIS

Our project is mainly deals with increasing the running speed of two-stroke petrol engine using L.P.G. (Liquefied Petroleum Gas).  This attachment may be used to any type of two-stroke engine vehicle.

Incase of two-stroke engine, the combustion of fuel is petrol, which gives maximum speed rate of 60 KMPH at cost of Rs. 67/- per litre approximately.  But in L.P.G. fired engine, gives more than 60 KMPH at very low cost.  That is the cost of 1 kg of L.P. Gas is Rs. 25/-.  It will give 100 KMPH approximately.

Now we have to compare two types of fuel. The L.P.G is most suitable for two-stroke engine vehicle economically.  This project is very useful in our daily life.  The pollution control, which is essential for our day-to-day life.

ABRASIVE JET MACHINE

Our project work, Abrasive Jet Machining (AJM) presents the working of abrasive jet machining and removing materials from the brittle and heat sensitive materials by the application of high speed stream of abrasive particles carried by a gas medium through the nozzle. In particular drilling of holes of minimum diameter and maximum depth is also possible in AJM with greater accuracy and surface finish.  Since no heat is induced while machining the surface, the workplace is not subjected to thermalshocks....more
